What do you enjoy most about your job?

To work with different patients and colleagues. CT scanning and traumatology, orthopaedics.

What is the most challenging/difficult part of your job and why?

Manage a day programme at the Computer Tomography.

How many patients do you help each week approximately?

That is different and depending on the place I need to work.

What is the most memorable or happiest moment of your radiography career and why?

To visit friends and colleagues in African countries and share knowledge and information. When patients are appreciative of small friendly gestures.

If you could change or improve one thing about your working life, what would it be?

I do not know at the moment.

Have you ever worked as a radiographer outside your home country? If not, have you considered it?

Yes, I worked in Saudi Arabia for two years.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about becoming a radiographer?

You must like technology and people. Always see the person and not a number.

How do you see the role of the radiographer/technologist developing in the future?

I have seen many changes during my career. From being the first radiographer doing body CT scanning to MRI. Technology does not stop and if you work in a medical centre where research is very important, there will always be new methods to test.
